The Bellavista housing complex in Klampenborg is one of the major works of the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and an early icon of Danish functionalism.

The buildings’ white façades, horizontal balconies, and clean geometric forms give the complex an elegant, almost nautical character, inspired by international modernism and contemporary ocean liners. Jacobsen worked down to the smallest detail, designing not only the buildings but also interiors and surroundings to create a complete architectural vision.

Today, Bellavista remains an important example of Scandinavian modernism, where functionality, beauty, and everyday life are combined in a timeless architectural design.
