This artwork is carved in wood and painted with organic colors. Its handcrafted at our studio in copenhagen. Designed by graphic designer Rikke Nogel and Architect Eva Wandel, Founders of Kolekto.

The artwork is inspired by the famous Bella Vista Building North of Copenhagen.

The Bellavista housing complex is one of the major works of the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and an early icon of Danish functionalism.

The buildings’ white façades, horizontal balconies, and clean geometric forms give the complex an elegant, almost nautical character, inspired by international modernism and contemporary ocean liners.

Today, Bellavista remains an important example of Scandinavian modernism, where functionality, beauty, and everyday life are combined in a timeless architectural design.

The artwork is handmade at our studio in Copenhagen, made from sustainable wood and painted with organic colors. In each artwork there will be marks and signs from the wood, making each woodcut unique and personal.
